Position Summary: As a Maintenance Technician you will performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Responsible for preventive maintenance, mechanical checks, construction, installation, moving, repairing and maintenance of all electronic, electrical and mechanical equipment and/or systems within the facility and/or assigned Value Stream(s). Perform industrial machine repair/service using knowledge of any or all of the following: electrical, electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, spindles, ball screws, bearings, servo controls, and/or machine controllers. Performs all duties in compliance with all OSHA regulations and completes all required training. Requirements

  • Ability to use maintenance equipment (including but not limited to saws, grinders, CNC mills, and lathes, hand / power tools, etc) to perform machining duties as needed
  • Ability to troubleshoot and determine root cause of failures
  • General knowledge of predicative and preventative maintenance processes
  • Typically requires a minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
  • Requires High School diploma or equivalent
  • Requires general working knowledge of industrial electronics and controls including but not limited to relay logic and controls, automation interlocking, machine control circuits, sensors, switches, timers, wiring and ladder diagrams, sequencers, variable speed motor drives, servo controls, etc.
  • Ability to operate and obtain a forklift driver's license
  • Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Assists in moving, setup and leveling machines
  • Performs equipment preventative maintenance daily
  • Ensures machines are lubricated and operational, may include installing guards as necessary
  • Troubleshoots mechanical/electrical malfunctions/breakdowns; supports activity to repair, may include coordinating/working with outside vendors
  • Utilizes maintenance equipment (including but not limited to: saws, grinders, CNC mills and lathes, etc) to perform machining duties as needed
  • Communicates with and utilize outside services and support as necessary to troubleshoot problems, provide project and maintenance assistance and offer technical resources
  • Performs a wide range of general building and equipment maintenance, such as plumbing, general electrical, carpentry, sheet metal and fabrication design, and sheet metal repair work
  • Creates and coordinates change orders (CO’s) in support of the preventative maintenance and calibration system; including follow up and tracking
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
  • Performs other duties as assigned
