About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician at Steel Technologies, your main responsibility is to continue to improve our safety, quality, and efficiency. How? By performing preventative, routine, and emergency mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and providing effective troubleshooting, you are a huge part in ensuring operations is running effectively at all times. Requirements

Ability to correctly retrieve and input data in a computer using Excel and CMMS System
Ability to successfully troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment/machinery
Strong mechanical and industrial knowledge, and basic electrical knowledge
Ability to operate motor control systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, hoists, fire protection, and mechanical bearing systems
Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
Experience operating metalworking tools such as grinders, band saws, drill presses, and welding equipment.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Self-motivation and drive for continuous improvement
Flexibility to work any shift hours as needed
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

A mechatronics certificate is strongly desired but not required
