YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAY-TO-DAY MAINTENANCE OF THE HOTEL. Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Department, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems. This role will oversee the operational aspects of the hotel's Engineering department.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • At least 1 year of facilities or maintenance experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions quickly and work well under pressure.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weights (up to 75 lbs).
  • Ability to bend, lift, and stand or walk for the entire shift.
  • Occasionally required to exert up to 20 pounds of force and frequently up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
  • Must be able to handle long hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional guest service and delivering on the brand promise at all times.
  • Responding promptly and courteously to maintenance requests and customer care calls.
  • Conducting site inspections and performing preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment.
  • Assisting in developing and implementing plans to maintain the property, equipment, grounds, and assets in good repair.
  • Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Inspecting, testing, and certifying all emergency and life safety equipment and systems in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Actively participating in energy conservation programs to enhance efficiency.
  • Reviewing guest and meeting planner feedback to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring adherence to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
  • Assisting in managing vendor contracts controlled by the Engineering Department.
  • Supporting special projects, renovations, and other maintenance tasks as necessary.
  • Repairing and programming the hotel's electronic lock systems.
  • Assisting with scheduling and executing preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborating on safety initiatives and adhering to all safety standards and regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to ensure smooth hotel operations.
