About The Position

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the upkeep of the property and the overall maintenance. This role involves performing repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to service requests to maintain a high standard of living and safety for tenants. Targa Real Estate is a full-service property management company that proudly serves Washington State and Oregon. Our comprehensive services include property management, accounting, receivership, and consultations. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in multi-family maintenance or a related field.
  • Knowledge of basic turn requirements such as painting, drywall repair, troubleshooting appliances, basic plumbing, and water heater replacements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills when interacting with tenants.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability for on-call emergency maintenance as needed.
  • Basic tools to complete daily tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • HVAC certification or relevant trade certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs
  • Complete work orders efficiently while adhering to company standards and safety regulations.
  • Conduct property inspections to identify issues that may cause damage to the property or building.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance requests promptly and effectively.
  • Assist in preparing vacant units for new tenants, including painting, drywall repairs, and installing light fixtures.
  • Maintain common areas, such as hallways, landings, and grounds.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance requests, completed work, and inventory of supplies.
  • Communicate with the property manager and provide updates on projects, turns, and work orders.
