About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing maintenance, waste management, and housekeeping support for all buildings and infrastructure on the StoneAge campus. This role involves performing general building maintenance, coordinating with StoneAge departments and ensuring the campus facilities operate efficiently and safely. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional environment for employees and visitors.

Requirements

  • Expertise in OSHA practices and facilities maintenance.
  • Skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and basic equipment repair.
  • Familiarity with snow removal equipment and small hand tools.
  • Certifications in forklift/ scissor lift operation and safe driving.
  • Knowledge of bloodborne pathogen safety protocols.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in computer skills for basic documentation, communication and project management.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities as needed.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
  • Capability to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and protocols.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with a team are essential.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a DMV background check are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general building maintenance, including HVAC services, water filter replacements, air filter changes, and light bulb replacements.
  • Conduct snow removal operations, lawn maintenance, and weed control to maintain the exterior of the campus.
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks and ensure the proper functioning of Hydro-Blast pumps and equipment.
  • Perform remodeling needs, including painting projects, drywall and plaster repairs, and drop ceiling repairs.
  • Relocate office equipment and manage storage areas effectively.
  • Perform custodial duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
  • Assist with Machine Shop equipment maintenance and company event setups.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and support safety equipment inspections.
  • Maintain project status and completion within project management software.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees to foster collaboration.
  • Provide support for special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
