About The Position

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee and ensure preventative maintenance programs (daily, weekly, monthly) are implemented, followed and documented of clubhouse, gym, pool area, restrooms and common areas within the Community. Daily upkeep of the common grounds and appearance of the property. Address work orders assigned in a timely fashion. Assist Property Manager with inspections and documenting areas of concern or additional work needed. Projects may include: Painting, minor electrical and/or plumbing, power washing, repair of mailboxes, Hurricane preparedness of clubhouse and pool deck; room set up for meetings. Maintain pool and clubhouse area on a daily basis: includes straightening pool deck, blowing leaves and removing palm fronds, trash collection, cleaning and stocking restrooms, tracking and ordering supplies, ensure fitness center is clean and orderly. Works with Property Manager to determine supply and equipment needs. Available as needed to pick up supplies and inventory items from approved vendors. Responsible for overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shop. Background in construction or handyman work is beneficial. Regular attendance, punctuality and dependability required. Full- time Tue-Sat 9:30am-6pm Pay Rate: $24-$26 DOE PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION IF YOU LIVE MORE THAN 30 MINUTES FROM THE EAST FORT LAUDERDALE AREA.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • Must possess strong working knowledge in maintenance of minor electrical work, plumbing, mechanical, flooring, patching, irrigation, cooling towers and chillers.
  • Must possess strong maintenance and repair skills in the areas of painting, lighting, carpentry, other minor building repairs and cleanliness.
  • Maintain a valid Florida driver's license.
  • Good communication skills.
  • All hires are subject to a full background, reference checks and drug screening.

  • Background in construction or handyman work is beneficial.
