About The Position

We are actively hiring for the position of Maintenance Technician for our plant in Solon, OH. 3rd Shift: 9:45 PM-6:15 AM - Sunday - Thursday (Shift Differential $2 more an hour) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIES Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment according to established schedules. Identify and diagnose equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, and electrical issues. Perform repairs, adjustments, or component replacements to restore equipment functionality. Keep accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and equipment condition. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Responding to equipment breakdowns promptly and effectively troubleshoot the root cause of the problem. Analyze malfunctions and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and prevent recurring issues. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems and improve machine performance. Calibration and Testing: Calibrate machinery and equipment to ensure accurate operation and adherence to quality standards. Perform regular testing and inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and quality control requirements. Conduct performance evaluations and make necessary adjustments to optimize machine efficiency. Maintenance Planning and Documentation: Assist in developing and updating maintenance procedures, guidelines, and manuals. Create and maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and supplies required for maintenance and repairs. Collaborate with the purchasing department to procure the necessary parts and equipment. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other maintenance technicians, operators, and supervisors to coordinate maintenance activities and share knowledge. Communicate effectively with team members, providing status updates, reports, and recommendations. Provide training and guidance to machine operators on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a machine maintenance technician or a similar role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with a good understanding of machine operation and control systems.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and testing instruments.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to machine maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
  • Flexibility to work on rotating shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
