About The Position

The City of Sharonville is actively recruiting for a part-time Maintenance Technician to support operations at the Sharonville Convention Center. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Operations, the Maintenance Technician will perform a wide variety of facility maintenance and event support functions. Primary responsibilities include general building maintenance and repairs; troubleshooting basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; assisting with event setups and teardowns; and operating tools and equipment such as hand tools, lifts, and power washers. Candidates must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualified candidates should have strong problem-solving skills, a working knowledge of building systems, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while working collaboratively with staff and the general public. The multi-level facility provides a beautiful and contemporary relaxed suburban location for meetings, conventions, banquets, trade shows and public events. Recently renovated, the center offers a variety of state-of-the-art amenities; including, nineteen meeting rooms; 90,000 square feet of flexible space; new technologies; food and beverage services with a first-in-class café, free-standing bar and restaurant and much more! Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or successful completion of the General Education Development (GED) test.
  • Experience in facility or building maintenance, construction, or a related trade is preferred. A combination of additional education, certifications, or professional experience and training may be considered in place of direct experience.
