About The Position

To ensure all plant processing and facilities equipment are running at optimum efficiency on a daily basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent aptitude and demonstrated experience in the following trades required: o Mechanical repair o Fundamental electrical 24V to 480V troubleshooting repair and installation o Working knowledge of PLC’s. Servo motors/drives, AC/DC variable speed frequency drives o Mechanical troubleshooting o Plumbing/pipefitting o Welding and fabricating o Machine tool o Electrical troubleshooting o Facilities maintenance
• Must demonstrate Journeyman level competence in all of the above trade skills.
• Manage and perform projects independently.
• Mentor Maintenance Mechanic 1 levels.
• License or certificates in any of the below trades is required: o Electrical installations, troubleshooting and repair 24V-480V o Mechanical troubleshooting and repair o Welding and fabrication o Pneumatic troubleshooting and repair o Machine tools o Plumbing and pipefitting o Facilities repair
• Will be required lift to 10 pounds; may be required to lift up to approximately 50 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Talk and hear over loud volumes.
• Must be able to frequently stand, walk and sit.
• Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
• Must be able to work in a noisy and dusty manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
• Must be able to withstand both hot and cold atmosphere depending on weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in repair of high-speed processing and paper converting equipment is preferred.
