About The Position

In this maintenance role you will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical <\/div> equipment, or the building structure up and running. This is a multi -craft role but they are focusing on the mechanical side of equipment maintenance, things like hydraulics, pneumatic, pumps, valves, conveyor systems, motors...They would also like to see some basic electrical skills. <\/div> <\/div> The key thing they are looking for are maintenance people who have a willingness to learn new skills and enhance the skills they already have. <\/div> They will teach you their machinery and equipment and bring you up to speed on skills sets you might be weak on as long as you are coachable and show an eagerness and willingness to learn.<\/span> <\/div> <\/div> ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES <\/div> Safety <\/div> Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines <\/span><\/li> Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc. <\/span><\/li> Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required <\/span><\/li> Understand and identifies Lock -out/Tag -out procedures <\/span><\/li> Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately task <\/span><\/li> Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices <\/span><\/li> Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate <\/span><\/li> Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment <\/span><\/li> Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blue prints, repair manuals and parts catalogs as necessary <\/span><\/li> Order parts, supplies and equipment <\/span><\/li> Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, machinery and equipment <\/span><\/li> Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested <\/span><\/li> Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP's. <\/span><\/li><\/ul> <\/div><\/span>

Responsibilities
