The maintenance technician is responsible for completing general building maintenance repairs and performs unit make-ready duties on empty units. This role involves a wide range of tasks including electrical, plumbing, drywall replacement and/or repair, painting, lock replacement, tile repairs, blind and window treatment and/or replacement, and HVAC furnace and a/c repairs. The technician will complete all maintenance requests in a timely manner, maintain organized record keeping, and ensure vacant apartments are made ready according to The Monroe Group Standards. Other duties include working within budget limits, maintaining building inventory, scheduling and completing Preventive Maintenance, assisting in monitoring outside contractors, and being responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance call-outs. The role also involves grounds work, monitoring building systems, assisting with annual inspections, and following all company emergency and safety procedures.
