Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Trade school certification as an Industrial/Electrician/Millwright or Industrial/Mechanic preferred.
Journey worker certification preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience as a Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment.
Experience operating a powered industrial truck and aerial lift (testing and certification to be administered by Magna Seating Detroit).
Working knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, electrical (up to 480 volt), PLC (Allen Bradley preferred), and robotic systems (Fanuc preferred).
Fabrication experience, including blueprint reading/interpretation, machining (lathe, Bridgeport, and bandsaw), and welding.
Ability to interpret & apply measurements in both the Imperial and Metric systems; ability to use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and measuring tape.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to electro-mechanical systems.
Ability to read/understand ladder logic PLC systems preferred.
Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and shop tools.
Basic computer skills, including e-mail management and task management software.
Ability to work in a team environment; good communication and time management skills.
Ability to take initiative and work under limited supervision.

Nice To Haves
