Position Summary Provide direct support to enable the Maintenance Department to independently carry out daily responsibilities and integrate all phases of electronic/automated equipment installation, updates, and repairs. Key Responsibilities Responsible for the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems equipment down to the component level, including 480V electrical power distribution, instrumentation, motor controls, relay logic, VFD's, Servo's, I/O devices/modules, PLC's, HMI's, and communication networks. Make program modifications in PLC's logic, HMI's programs, Drive (Inverter), and servo controller logic to improve equipment performance. Manage all PLC, Drive and HMI programs and changes as well as electrical documentation Ensure that they are all accurate, updated, and available to the technicians and archived at regular intervals. Must have experience with the National Electrical Code. Develops and implements new electrical preventative maintenance tasks and procedures. Train and assist technicians to troubleshoot, repair, replace and commission all electrical control devices including AC drives, DC drives, Servo Controllers, contactors, motors, breakers, solenoids power supplies and indicator lights. All PLC/HMI hardware including processors, discrete and analog I/O cards, power supplies, network adapters, I/O hardware, communications systems, operator interfaces such as Panel view, PC based interfaces, and message displays. Work with engineering on specific electrical and or controls projects from design to startup, including HMI and PLC programming, installation, checkout, start-up and training. Seek out and identify obsolete, unsupported, or otherwise deficient systems. Research and identify solutions then report, prepare scope of work and cost estimates to resolve. Must be proficient in electrical and mechanical schematic reading. Development of electrical schematics desired. Will function as a maintenance technician as needed, responsible for PM duties, project work and scheduled or breakdown maintenance, when situation dictates. Other duties as assigned.   • High School Diploma or GED, preferred associate degree in electrical/electronic fields.
  • 5 years' experience within an industrial setting where your focus was heavily with electrical and PLCs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of WO system, PO system, Notes, Excel, and Word ERP Experience required.
  • Safety - demonstrated ability to follow safe working practices, rules, and instructions
  • Proficient use of applicable electronic measuring and diagnostic tools; multimeter, circuit locator, thermal imaging equipment
  • Proficient understanding of applicable software, program language and printed logic
  • Understanding of current applications and systems, mechanical and electrical
  • Strong electronic and PLC skills, proficient knowledge of AB applications
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills (if applicable)
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
  • Development of electrical schematics desired.
