About The Position

Maintenance Technician Full-Time | Early Shift (4:00 AM – 12:30 PM) | Monday–Friday (Occasional Saturdays) Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys keeping equipment running at peak performance? We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team and play a critical role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. About the Company With over 96 years of experience, Randolph Packing Co. in Streamwood, IL, is an industry leader in manufacturing high-quality fresh, cooked, and smoked "Old World Style" ethnic sausage, specialty sausage, and sausage-related products. What You’ll Do Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues Repair or replace faulty components to restore equipment performance Support the installation and start-up of new equipment Use electrical testing and measuring instruments to identify and resolve issues Document maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment failures Track and manage spare parts usage Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE What You Bring High school diploma or GED 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of: Industrial electrical wiring and 3-phase systems up to 480V AC/DC motors and motor controls PLCs, drives, and control systems Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals Basic computer skills for documentation Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Physical & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift in a manufacturing environment Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and reaching Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly (heavier loads with assistance) Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces Manual dexterity for tools and precision work Good vision (with or without corrective lenses) Schedule & Pay First shift: 4:00 AM – 12:30 PM Monday–Friday; Saturdays as needed Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) - $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Overtime opportunities when production requires

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of: Industrial electrical wiring and 3-phase systems up to 480V AC/DC motors and motor controls PLCs, drives, and control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
  • Basic computer skills for documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
