About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems within the facility, ensuring optimal building operations, safety compliance, and leading a team of technicians and contractors to maintain critical infrastructure systems.This role involves leading preventative maintenance programs, coordinating with third-party vendors, and ensuring safe, efficient facility operations through hands-on technical expertise and work order management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas, including weekends, nights and/or holidays
1 year of experience in PC competency to include: Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking.
Lifting parts and tools weighing on average 20 pounds, occasionally weighing up to 90 pounds.
Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.

Nice To Haves

Vocational school, college or equivalent with a focus in the Mechanical, Electrical field or HVAC.
Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
Experience with blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
Project Management experience.
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Responsibilities

Monitor operation and maintain refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, ventilating, filters, and other mechanical/electrical equipment while reviewing logs to ensure proper operation and reporting problems/malfunctions as needed
Perform preventive maintenance tasks and oversee repair and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems
Ensure adequate inventory of tools and supplies by preparing purchase order requests, developing sources for stock materials, and performing periodic inventory checks
Oversee contractor activities within the building, whether representing the building or tenant operations
Identify safety hazards and incorporate remediation to ensure staff and occupants work in a safe environment
Ensure compliance with all regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure operations
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) which includes belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more
