Install, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment. Day to day facility upkeep. Develop maintenance SOP's, and maintain proper records. Assist with day-to-day facility upkeep and manufacturing/distribution equipment repair and preventative maintenance. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic, HVAC and electrical/electronic equipment. Record repairs and maintenance performed. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. Complete maintenance work by requested due dates. Actively pursue measures to reduce downtime on plant equipment, identify opportunities and take measures to reduce waste. Suggest cost-saving upgrades to equipment and changes to improve performance of equipment. Source and order parts and supplies when needed. Support continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events facility wide. Oversee outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance. Assist with the development and maintenance of SOPs and the Preventative Maintenance program. Assists manager in overseeing major installation or repair projects. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for additional duties and tasks as directed by his or her supervisor.
