We’re seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team and keep our facilities running smoothly. In this role, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs across a variety of equipment and building systems, while also operating heavy machinery such as forklifts, skid steers, and aerial lifts. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, proactive, and mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills. Requirements

  • Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook with the ability to navigate the internet and utilize electronic time cards
  • Be self-motivated, reliable, flexible & proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work various schedules and hours including evenings, weekends, and possibly night shifts
  • Millwright ticket or extensive verifiable mechanical/machining experience will be screened as a priority
  • Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor industrial settings; including adverse weather conditions and at heights
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in challenging conditions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with leadership and colleagues
  • High energy and confident individual with demonstrated organization, prioritization and critical thinking skills as well as proven active listening skills
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities, such as changing filters, waste bins, upkeep on a variety of equipment, landscaping, building upkeep and inspections.
  • Operate heavy equipment such as telehandler, forklift, skid steer, aerial boom lift and sand/plow truck to lift, move or place equipment or materials (e.g., pallet placement).
  • Inspecting, cleaning, lubricating and refilling equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and then formulate and implement short- and long-term solutions.
  • Ensure all work is conducted in a safe and efficient manner according to guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist with other facility repairs and special project execution.
  • Support the Supervisor in the development and implementation of short- and long-term maintenance programs and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues and make repairs as needed.
