Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership's midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership's fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors. Summary This position is responsible for operating and maintaining, modifying and performing routine and emergency repairs on all electrical/electronic and associated mechanical equipment in assigned area. This is a 365-day operating facility. Must be flexible and able to work On-Call for various shifts that may include nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of related experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy
  • Ability to be alert and drive excessive miles daily
  • Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines
  • Ability to work successfully in stressful situations and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to use awareness of relationships and impacts of data trends and elements to appropriately recommend actions that impact both near and long-term company operations and profits
  • Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities
  • Ability to take directions from supervisors
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to supervise digging by third parties around our high-pressure pipelines required
  • Ability to plan activities on the pipeline with a weekly to monthly time horizon required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or graduate of a technical school preferred.
  • Knowledge of Bristol, Allen Bradley, and Systronics systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Takes immediate measures in emergency situations to protect the safety of the public and the company’s assets.
  • Makes accurate decisions and thorough attentiveness to the activities is required.
  • Supervises digging by third parties around our high-pressure pipelines.
  • Performs physical labor related to maintenance of large pumps, motors, and valves.
  • Follows established procedures for lock-out/tag-out to assure safety.
  • Maintains, makes repairs to and operates equipment for pump stations, pipeline control centers, product terminals and related facilities.
  • Maintains and marks pipeline right-of-way for surveillance access and location.
  • Assures that the pipeline route and right-of-way is adequately marked to warn others that may encroach on the pipeline.
  • Monitors, inspects, and evaluates trouble areas along ROW that are reported by ground or aerial surveillance.
  • Maintains, operates and evaluates cathodic protection systems. Observes proper environmental and safety procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and instrumentation
  • Utilize lifting systems for light or heavy machinery placement (incorporating pulleys, cables, hydraulic lifts or cranes
  • Assembling new equipment ensuring that gears, wheels, bearing, belts, motors are aligned, fitted and attached properly
  • Supports emergency plant needs on day shift and provides 24-hour (on-call) assistance during off hours
  • Diligently follows all safety requirements
  • Maintain location appearance, repair and replace equipment in order to maintain exemplary compliance standards
  • Coordination of projects with contractors and work in a safe manner, following company safety policies and programs
  • General maintenance responsibilities as directed
  • Assists in the construction and modification of facilities.
  • Informs and enforces company rules and regulations on outside pipeline companies and contractors.
  • Works weekends and responds to 24-hour on call.
  • Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. Reduces potential risk to public safety and environment and minimizes company liability.
  • Improves operations efficiency and financial profitability through well maintained facilities.
