About Us: Grace Inspired Ministries, located in Bucks County, PA was formed in 2017 through the affiliation of the Lutheran Community at Telford and theCommunity at Rockhill. Guided by God's love, Grace Inspired Living is dedicated to providing communities and services that enhance the lives of older adults in a supportive setting that values residents, employees, volunteers, and families. The Community at Rockhill, founded in 1935, (www.communityatrockhill.org) is a residential community for adults 65 and older located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. As a Life Plan Community, Rockhill offers a continuum of care that includes Residential Living, Personal Care for adults who need assistance with daily activities, and Health Care for individuals in need of 24-hour support. Rockhill. Our Rockhill supportive team empowers residents to live spirited, fulfilling lives exactly as they choose; from active and engaged to peaceful and private. Rockhill consists of 206 independent living units, 53 personal care units, and 90 skilled nursing beds. POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the completion of assigned work orders involving plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent.
  • 2 years previous maintenance experience.
  • This individual must be able to speak and read the English language in an understandable manner in order to communicate with residents, employees, family members, volunteers and the public.
  • Must have ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from residents and the general public.
  • Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  • This individual must be capable of climbing ladders/stairs using feet and legs and/or hands and arms; must be able to stoop, kneel, bend and crouch and use arms for overhead work.
  • This individual is required to stand for sustained periods of time, and is frequently required to walk.
  • The person must be able to push and/or pull using the upper extremities to exert force (i.e., wheelchair), occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Use hands to pick up, finger or feel objects.

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma and/or equivalent with some tech school, preferred.
  • 4 years previous maintenance experience in a retirement community or similar setting.
  • HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the work necessary to complete resident work orders involving plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems assigned by the Director of Environmental Services and receive work orders from Environmental Services Coordinator.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment throughout the facility, such as filter changes, equipment lubrications, vehicle maintenance, etc.
  • Respond to unscheduled work orders that need immediate attention.
  • Complete all necessary paper work (i.e. daily work sheets and work orders) on a daily basis.
  • Maintain ability for on-call responsibilities on weekends, holidays and inclement weather as required.
  • Perform overtime duties when requested or needed in an emergency.
  • Maintain the high standards of the The Community at Rockhill by picking up trash when seen on the road, ensure that lights are functioning and keep vehicles clean.
  • Respond to all alarms (medical or fire) and assist with fire and emergency evacuation drills.
  • Maintain, repair and troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and health care equipment.
  • Perform routine duties including package deliveries, bulb replacements, work orders and any miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Properly maintain and store all tools and equipment and keep work shop clean and orderly.
  • Follow all department policies and procedures, including proper use of all PPE issued and attend all departmental meetings and required facility in-services.
  • Assume other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed.
