About The Position

Fogelman is hiring a certified Maintenance Technician for The Westerly Union Depot Apartments, a 337-unit community located in the in Bartlett, TN. The ideal candidate is experienced with HVAC, plumbing & electrical, HVAC certified, honest, a team player, and provides exemplary customer service skills. Fogelman possesses over 62 years of experience and was ranked #2 in the country as a Best Place To Work in Multifamily for 2026. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor while providing excellent customer service to our residents.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in apartment maintenance preferred.
  • HVAC experience with certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
  • Proficient in the following areas: plumbing, HVAC, electrical and appliance repair.
  • Proficient in use of computers and online applications.
  • Depending on the property, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of property systems such as Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completing all service requests as assigned.
  • Responsible for the completion of all make-ready units.
  • Responsible for the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the property and/or the management company.
  • Responsible for supplying all personal tools.
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Assists in preventive maintenance projects.
  • Escalate unresolved service issues to the Service Director.
  • Participates in "on call" rotation and responds to emergency calls as needed.
  • Responsible for positive communications with residents, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Be aware of and operate within company safety policies at all times.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Adhere to all company policies including but not limited to safety and Fair Housing.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
