About The Position

The Part-Time Facilities Technician helps keep our attraction running safely and smoothly behind the scenes. From touching up paint to fixing small lighting or plumbing issues, this role is great for someone who enjoys hands-on work and likes having a variety of tasks each shift. Every day can look a little different — you might start by helping repair a small leak, then move on to refreshing a guest area, or assisting with routine safety checks on our attractions. With every day being unique and different, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn new skills and make a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally across carpentry, plumbing, painting, or general facilities repair.
  • Experience in large-scale environments such as schools, apartment complexes, or attractions strongly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of health and safety standards, with OSHA and scissor lift certifications a plus.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and repair needs.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a passion for creating safe, clean, and well-maintained environments for guests and colleagues alike.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all attraction equipment, including minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and safety checks, ensuring ladders, tools, and building systems are safe and operational.
  • Support basic HVAC troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct both planned and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime and enhance the guest experience.
  • Operate power tools and equipment safely, following OSHA guidelines and PPE best practices.
  • Monitor building systems, identify hazards, and take action to keep operations safe and efficient.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as needed to support the team and attraction.
