About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to keep mill operations running safely and efficiently. This role works closely with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to equipment issues as they arise. This is a hands-on opportunity on 2nd or 3rd shift for a skilled industrial maintenance professional who takes pride in keeping equipment reliable and production moving.

Requirements

• Industrial maintenance experience with both mechanical and electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Strong commitment to safety and reliability

Nice To Haves

• Experience using plasma cutters or torches preferred
• Forklift or Bobcat experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency breakdowns
• Work with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and lubrication systems
• Repair and replace components such as bearings, gears, chains, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
• Use a CMMS to document work orders, repairs, and parts usage
• Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Communicate equipment issues and repair status with maintenance and operations teams
