About The Position

Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Owatonna, Minnesota location. This role is responsible for repairing machinery and actively participating in maintenance, failure avoidance, failure elimination, and continuous improvement functions. Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical, PLCs, and schematics
• Have a clear understanding of Lockout Tagout (LOTO)
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to train others as needed
• Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and hydraulic schematics
• Experience with fabrication, changing out cylinders, oils, solvents, greases
• General construction knowledge

Responsibilities

• Repairing machinery as required
• Actively participate in maintenance, failure avoidance, failure elimination, and continuous improvement maintenance functions
• Complete preventative maintenance as required both safely and procedurally
• Operate basic and advanced shop tools as required to maintain or repair equipment
• Maintain written documentation of work performed
