About The Position

Seeking a self-motivated and energetic hands-on full-time Maintenance Technician for our Hinsdale area Manufactured Home Community. The ideal maintenance technician is skilled in a variety of areas including landscaping, snow removal, minor repairs, carpentry and general grounds maintenance, among others. Must be willing to work as a team with other staff members but also work independently under the direction of the community manager. Requirements

Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
High school diploma or equivalent
Required: 1-year residential property maintenance experience
Valid driver's license
Experience with and knowledge of the proper use of power and hand tools
Experience with and knowledge of proper use of lawn care and landscaping equipment
Experience with snow plowing and snow removal equipment
Must be a team player but have the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
Must be willing and able to work independently under the direction of community management
Must undergo a mandatory standard background check which includes criminal
Physical demands include bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying 50 pounds or more

Responsibilities

General maintenance
Daily grounds cleanup
Mowing, landscaping, trimming, and edging
Snow removal/plowing and salting during cold months
Occasional light electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work
Occasional light painting and carpentry work
Vehicle and equipment maintenance
Monthly vehicle and equipment inspections and reporting
On-call for after-hours emergencies (evenings and weekends); shared with fellow maintenance staff
