About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a building trade (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must be bondable
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 70-100 lbs with assistance
  • Working knowledge of safety protocols, tools, and materials for general maintenance
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with residents and team members

Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and corrective maintenance on buildings, apartments, and grounds
  • Use hand and power tools to troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems
  • Respond to work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotation
  • Conduct inspections of units to ensure compliance with housing standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in work areas and public spaces
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure timely service
  • Operate various types of equipment, including backhoes and street sweepers
  • Clean coils, change filters, repair/replacement of HVAC components, log equipment data
  • Clean and prepare units (walls, floors, fixtures) for occupancy
  • Inspect and repair plumbing, flooring, fences, and playgrounds
  • Prep and paint interiors and exteriors using various techniques
  • Repair/replace doors, windows, cabinets, handrails, and ceilings
  • Safely apply chemicals and pest treatments across properties
