As a Maintenance Technician at Trane Technologies, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of machinery and auxiliary equipment, as well as building special items to support multiple production lines. This role involves engaging in the repair of tools, machinery, and equipment, and maintaining machines to ensure operational efficiency. Requirements

High School Diploma required or GED equivalent required
Experience with a wide range of mechanical equipment
Strong mechanical skills
Basic electrical skills
Comprehension of schematics/blueprints
Self-starter and motivated to maintain building/machines to 100% uptime via strong preventative activities

Nice To Haves

Degree in Maintenance Technology or equivalent preferred
Three (3) plus years of experience in maintenance is preferred

Responsibilities

Maintain equipment and tools as needed and per the PM schedule
Communicate consistently with internal customers regarding status of equipment
Advise supervisor of needs for outside services and work with service representatives on equipment and controls repair and installation
Show competency in several crafts and perform handyman aspects in all trades and can execute the build of specialized tools, carts, equipment as needed by the facilities & operations team
Prepare bills of material on jobs requiring major material use and initiate purchase requisitions
Make day to day work-related decisions and prioritize needs to complete more urgent items first
Use various material handling equipment such as hoists, carts, lifts, fork trucks and hand trucks in moving light to heavy weight material
Use a variety of lock-out/tag-out devices as required per plant LOTO Plan
