Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician with proven experience in commercial real estate property maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in multiple trades, including light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and painting, and a track record of successfully maintaining and servicing multi-tenant office, retail, or industrial buildings. Candidates must demonstrate stable employment history and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in commercial real estate (office buildings, retail centers, industrial parks, etc.).
  • Strong skills in light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to building maintenance.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • OSHA safety training or certification.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks across multiple commercial properties.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems including light electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general building infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
  • Complete drywall repairs, patching, painting, door hardware repairs, and basic locksmith tasks.
  • Respond to tenant service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with property managers and external vendors when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Maintain tools, supplies, and maintenance logs.
