About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, productivity and productive maintenance systems and process to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be available to be on call after normal working hours for calls pertaining to equipment problems and to report for repairs when necessary
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The ability to recognize and evaluate technical issues and limitations is required. The ability to define and manage expectations is critical. The ability to make sound decisions and actions is required.
  • Ability to access risk associated with product compliance and regulation and awareness of when to communicate changes to risk.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Responsible for working with suppliers and vendors to assure best product and price.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Must be able to build a relationship with all team members.
  • Install, repair, and modify electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions
  • Perform general maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
  • Inspect electrical systems and components for faults and malfunctions
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
  • Communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing
  • Observe environmental, health, and safety regulations and procedures
  • Keep records of work performed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
