We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (Maintenance "A") to support our production and facility needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with a proven track record in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Vocational school education or equivalent in six courses in five of the following areas: Electronics, Machine Shop (Advanced), Hydraulics, Water Treatment Systems, Pneumatics, Sheet Metal, Welding (Arc, Gas, Tig), Power Transmission, Electricity, PLC Function, Drafting/Layout/CAD, AC/DC Drives.
  • Equivalent prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (minimum 5 years preferred).
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with PC applications.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
  • Capability to occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and carry tools/materials for a 12-hour shift as needed.
  • Strong attendance and performance record.

Responsibilities

  • Support Production Needs: Troubleshoot and repair equipment, focusing on electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Assist in project planning and implementation.
  • Identify and communicate problems or opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on forklifts.
  • Support Facilities Needs: Maintain HVAC, plumbing, structural, and grounds systems.
  • Operate and maintain chilled water systems and compressed air systems.
  • Assist with janitorial tasks as needed.
  • Repair or replace existing electrical systems with a Maintenance Electrician on staff.
  • Track and record daily activities and parts usage.
  • Execute 6S and TPM activities as required.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
