About The Position

South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family: we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, yogurt, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 24 years and counting! Over the years, we have grown to be the largest and most efficient home delivery business in the area. We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician at the South Mountain Creamery location in Chambersburg, PA. Our Maintenance Team is vital to creating keeping us going. From the farm, to production, to our stores - this person will be imperative to our day-to-day operations. This position reports to the Site Manager and is anticipated to work M-F, 7am-3pm during training. Once training is complete the hours will be overnight working, Midnight - 8:30am with some flexibility to stay later or come in earlier as requested by management. Work is performed in a warehouse and refrigerated settings; you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while working safely and efficiently. This position requires the incumbent to lift roughly 50lbs from ground level to waist high using proper lifting techniques. Bending and other physical tasks are required. This position also requires climbing ladders. Candidates should be able to learn quickly, troubleshoot accurately and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

General building maintenance experience (i.e. electrical, plumbing, boiler, refrigeration, machinery and carpentry)
Mechanical aptitude is a must
Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating issues that may arise
A High School Diploma or equivalent
The motivation to work in a team environment -
A detail-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

Machine maintenance at the facility
Machines include bottle washers, refrigeration units, and more
Repairing and replacing air hoses/compressors
General preventative maintenance such as changing O-rings, gaskets, and oil filters
Verify machinery is in proper working condition
