The Jorgensen Family YMCA is seeking a responsible and attentive Maintenance Technician to join our team to assist in the maintenance, improvement, safety, and cleaning operations of grounds, properties, facilities, and vehicles.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old with a high school diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of facility maintenance experience.
- This position requires the ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and product labels.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
- Have a good mechanical aptitude, a focus on safety, good communication skills, and be comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
Responsibilities
- Equipment repairs
- Hanging/removing signage
- Snow removal
- Weed killing
- Preventive maintenance tasks (grease bearings, replace belts, clean parts, etc.)
- Minor plumbing, electrical, and construction
- Record keeping
- Some clerical tasks
- Setup/teardown for classes/events
- Ensure a safe and secure environment both within and around the facility.
