About The Position

Maintain and repair equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, laundries, offices, dorms and warehouse (major repairs are performed by a licensed contractor).
For all locations as needed - Emergency after hours work as needed - Shift/schedule may change as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Carpentry, plumbing, electrical, a/c, and machine equipment repair.
• G.E.D or High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• OSHA regulations, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and machine/equipment repair.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations.
• Ability to be professional, flexible, respectful, and calm.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lead by example.
• Must have a Florida State Driver’s License with “safe driver” classification.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer Literate.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or English and Creole preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment
• Ensure machines run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate
• Perform a daily inspection of the facility grounds, dorms and offices
• Complete daily duties assigned by Maintenance Supervisor
