Philosophy: Production team members are the backbone of our company’s success, and maintenance is the customer service group that supports the production team. Requirements

  • Knowledge and understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Knowledge of Arc Flash ratings and all PPE associated with Arc Flash hazards.
  • Knowledge of basic OSHA standards.
  • Ability to operate a forklift/scissor lift in a safe manner consistent with OSHA standards.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance with a strong skillset in all mechanical applications including pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  • Capable of fabrication and design including welding, grinding, and cutting with a torch or plasma cutter.
  • Ability to work with basic three phase 240/480 volts or single phase 220/120 volts electrical applications.
  • Working knowledge of all plant production equipment including chillers and air compressors.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and correct complex mechanical issues, as well as basic electrical issues.
  • Knowledge of power tools and the ability to use them.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills a must.
  • 3 – 7 years on the job experience.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to read, write, hear, and speak English proficiently.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial Maintenance Certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to work safely using required PPE, as well as ensuring all production equipment is in a safe working manner. Must be able to work safely and follow all JSA instructions, safety rules, and policies.
  • Ability to work overtime with little or no notice depending on machine unplanned events.
  • Willing and able to assist in breakdowns and repairs including pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical applications.
  • Work on projects assigned by the Plant Maintenance Manager.
  • Follow all inventory control guidelines and inventory management procedures.
  • Ability to install new equipment as needed.
  • Willing and capable of assisting with “8 Hour” PM’s and “7 Day Cleanups”
  • Must be driven and show initiative to start tasks without being told.
  • Willing and capable of working with Electro-Mechanical Technicians on more technical issues to increase knowledge of more advanced troubleshooting.
  • Willing to continually increase knowledge and skillset to reach an Electro-Mechanical Technician level within a given time frame.
