About The Position

As the Maintenance Technician this role will consist primarily of performing repairs and maintenance to the building and equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with electrical systems, plumbing, pneumatics, carpentry, drywall and/or painting will be an asset
• Forklift experience will be considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and repairs on equipment such as heating and a/c units, blowers, scrubbers; jaw crusher, and ring mills
• General building maintenance such as replacing ceiling tiles and painting
• Light plumbing and carpentry work
• Welding
• Work with contractors and/or suppliers
• Be available for on-call projects
• Must possess a valid driver’s license to go on errands for the department
• May be required to do maintenance at other ALS USA sites as needed
• Must be able to pick-up, purchase and transport building materials and maintenance items
• Assists with maintaining all log books and maintenance records/schedules
• Ability to complete unsupervised mechanical work such as: change belts, bearings, shafts, and basics equipment repairs.
• Ability to determine the requirements of a maintenance project
• May order and arrange for supplies
• Observes established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
