We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep for our bakery and restaurant facilities. Requirements

  • 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in food service or hospitality
  • Knowledge of commercial kitchen and bakery equipment
  • Basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC skills
  • Ability to read equipment manuals and technical diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various positions

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or related field
  • Experience with commercial refrigeration systems
  • Familiarity with health department regulations
  • Welding or fabrication skills

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment including ovens, steamer kettles, and warming equipment at multiple locations.
  • Service bakery-specific equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and refrigeration units
  • Troubleshoot and repair dishwashers, ice machines, and beverage dispensers
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems and ventilation hoods
  • Maintain walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigeration systems
  • Repair or replace small kitchen appliances and equipment as needed
  • Repair and adjust doors, including hinges, locks, closers, and weather stripping
  • Maintain interior and exterior door hardware and ensure proper operation
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing fixtures
  • Handle electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, and ballasts
  • Repair walls, ceilings, and floors including patching, painting, and tile replacement
  • Maintain dining room furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Conduct regular inspections of all equipment and building systems
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
  • Keep detailed maintenance logs and equipment records
  • Order parts and supplies as needed
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when specialized service is required
  • Ensure all repairs meet health department, fire, and safety code requirements
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations
  • Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures
