The Maintenance Technician inspects and performs repairs and preventive maintenance of plant machinery and equipment. This role should perform all tasks with safety and quality in mind while minimizing delay time and increasing production.

Requirements

Must be able to wear required PPE
Must have diesel mechanic experience
This position requires you to provide your own tools for daily tasks
Strong mechanical aptitude
Considerable judgment in planning, layout, and performing difficult work

Responsibilities

Inspection and diagnosis: Thoroughly inspecting diesel engines and related systems to identify malfunctions, using diagnostic tools to pinpoint problems.
Repair and maintenance: Performing repairs on diesel engines, including replacing worn parts like pistons, bearings, valves, and gaskets, as well as routine maintenance like oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotations.
Troubleshooting: Analyzing diagnostic data to identify the root cause of engine issues and developing repair plans.
Part replacement: Ordering and installing necessary replacement parts for repairs.
Testing and quality control: Performing test drives to verify repairs and ensure proper vehicle operation.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed repair records and work orders.
Technical knowledge: Staying updated on the latest diesel engine technologies and repair procedures.
Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.
Must be able to wear required PPE
Able to work overtime as assigned.
