About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment, machinery, and facilities at our distribution center. This role is critical to keeping operations running smoothly and minimizing downtime, directly supporting the commitment to operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in industrial maintenance preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
  • Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying temperatures
  • Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Experience (3–5 years) with:
  • Conveyor systems – Knowledge of pneumatic, manual, and chain driven motor systems that are controlled by PLCs
  • Troubleshooting issues with warehouse equipment (stretch wrap machines, load levelers, cardboard balers, dock doors, etc.). This may include troubleshooting on minor MHE repairs
  • Electrical – Knowledge of industrial 480-3 phase electrical
  • Mechanical, plumbing, and basic HVAC knowledge
  • Minor fabrication experience including cutting and welding of materials
  • Performing routine PM work on a variety of warehouse equipment
  • Replacing or installing industrial grade racking
  • Replacing or installing hi-bay industrial lighting
  • Conducting weekly, monthly, and yearly safety inspections on various equipment throughout the warehouse
  • Other general maintenance duties include but may not be limited to painting, hanging items, working with vendors to request job bids, and general utility work as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on distribution center equipment including conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks, dock doors/levelers, HVAC, electrical systems, and lighting
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency repair requests to minimize operational downtime
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and all company safety policies
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs beyond in-house capabilities
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies
  • Support capital improvement projects and equipment installations as needed
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall organization of the facility
