About The Position

All Positions Uphold DDW’s Mission Statement, Quality Policy, and Values and Beliefs Perform work accurately and reliably with proper thoroughness according to established procedures Demonstrate proper work ethic, including being at work when scheduled, arriving on time, and being ready to work at the start of the workday or shift Maintenance Technician Core Responsibilities Repair and maintain production equipment, support equipment, buildings, and grounds Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment Maintain the PTW Maintelligence System and scheduled PMs Perform housekeeping and sanitation as needed Perform welding and pipefitting Install and relocate equipment as required Perform calibrations for various measuring devices Conduct boiler maintenance and boiler water treatment Perform minor electrical wiring and troubleshoot electrical problems Conduct risk analysis prior to jobs to identify safety hazards and complete work permits Inventory and maintain all maintenance supplies Work with outside vendors to order maintenance supplies and parts Learn and work in the PTW E-1 computer system to enter vendor POs and required documentation Work in a team environment and cooperate with co-associates and leadership Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process Additional Responsibilities Willingness to occasionally work weekend overtime for projects and preventative maintenance while equipment is down Conduct daily plant walk-throughs and document safety, maintenance, and operational issues via work orders or email Conduct daily PMs, including checking boiler chemical levels and replenishing as needed, and checking for burned-out lights Assist with supervising contractors during installations Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective troubleshooting skills
  • Working knowledge of all production equipment
  • Understanding of electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently to diagnose and resolve issues
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders up to 70 feet and maneuver in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to be on-call as required

Responsibilities
