What we do (that you’ll be a part of!): At our manufacturing studio, our team is responsible for creating and assembling customer orders from our Retail stores and online business. These may include beautiful pieces of timeless art, mounting a piece of clothing or a tapestry, or framing an unforgettable photo from an unforgettable moment. Our team processes the orders from custom technology, measures all the inputs to the highest quality, and cuts, mounts and frames the art with pristine perfection. We are detail-oriented craftsmen and makers who work with our hands all day to ensure our customers’ prized possessions are taken care of and that the end product surpasses expectations. We are a factory team who cuts, sews, builds, glues, measures, frames and ships our goods back to delighted individuals . Role Summary: For our Manufacturing Studio, we are looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to perform installations, repairs, and upkeep operations of the company’s facilities. A great maintenance technician will have a basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, pneumatics as well as carpentry. They will have a solid understanding of all maintenance processes and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude for undertaking administrative tasks such as basic shop maintenance, tool upkeep, and inventory procedures. This candidate will be required to communicate effectively with the Operations Manager and Operations team daily. The goal is to ensure the company facilities are well cared for and adequate to support the company’s business operations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience as a maintenance technician
  • Electrical background with PLC knowledge and troubleshooting is preferred
  • Basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC understanding
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English
  • Success in this role is measured by equipment uptime, response time, quality of repairs, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Candidates must demonstrate prior professional maintenance experience relevant to an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commitment to lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and PPE compliance required
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, attention to detail, ability to be proactive
  • Experience in executing maintenance operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively across other sites and departments.
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
  • Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding organizational aptitude
  • High School Diploma or Degree from a vocational school

Nice To Haves

  • CNC and compressor experience a PLUS

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to developed maintenance procedures
  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
  • Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
  • Perform all repair and installation activities
  • Manage workload and perform all tasks in a timely manner
  • Monitor equipment inventory and alert Maintenance Manager as necessary
  • Monitor and control expendable resources
  • Work with contractors and service providers
  • Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively use computer software systems such as CMMS, excel, and other various programs.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to triage work appropriately.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems independently
