About The Position

The Maintenance technician will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, modifying, and testing mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment. This position will be required to assist process engineering in resolving mechanical-related problems while working in a team environment.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Standing for sustained periods of time.
Making substantial movements/motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Frequently lifting and/or moving spools weighing up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally required to sit; climb and stoop, kneel or crouch.

Nice To Haves

Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Certificate of Qualification preferred.
Welding Certificate or completion of training preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the installation, trouble shooting, modification, repair, testing, configuration, commissioning, and maintenance of all mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical plant manufacturing equipment.
Understand CMMS programs to conduct preventative maintenance inspections and related repairs on plant equipment as directed.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect potential failures and eliminate unplanned downtime.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electromechanical production equipment.
Understand, observe, and comply with company’s health and safety rules & regulations, lockout procedures and OSHA guidelines.
Complete daily maintenance work orders in an efficient and timely manner.
Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in work area using the 5S principles.
As required, provide training to new and/or junior employees with a focus on performing work in a safe, efficient, quality minded manner.
Ensure full adherence to the “Leader Standard Work” profile.
Participate in the planning and implementation of Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) -relevant measures to promote an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workspace.
Other duties as assigned by management.
