About The Position

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll help ensure that our facilities, machinery, and grounds operate smoothly and safely. Whether you’re troubleshooting a motor, welding a repair, fine-tuning a conveyor, or maintaining our grounds, you’ll be part of the team that keeps POLYWOOD® running strong. We’re hiring two Maintenance Technicians, with one role including grounds keeping responsibilities in addition to equipment and facility maintenance. We welcome both junior-level applicants eager to learn and seasoned technicians ready to share their expertise. Position Summary We’re looking for hands-on problem solvers who take pride in making repairs that last. In this role, you’ll work across a variety of maintenance tasks including mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and grounds care. You’ll help us prevent downtime, extend equipment life, and keep our facilities in top shape.

Requirements

  • General maintenance experience, open to junior-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in any of the following: welding, HVAC, electrical, pneumatics, conveyor or motor troubleshooting, blueprint/schematic reading, or preventative maintenance scheduling
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Familiarity with basic safety programs such as Lockout/Tagout

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years in industrial or facility maintenance
  • Welding certification (MIG, TIG, Stick)
  • HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications
  • Experience with CNC-driven machinery or extrusion equipment
  • Power lift, First Aid, or CPR certification

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery, equipment, and facility systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on motors, conveyors, HVAC units, and pneumatic systems
  • Weld, fabricate, and repair metal parts using MIG, TIG, or stick welding
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Replace defective parts, belts, bearings, switches, and motors
  • Route, bend, and connect electrical conduit; size loads from panels (120–480V single and three phase)
  • Perform plumbing repairs including pipe fitting, drain clearing, and fixture replacement
  • Maintain cleanliness and safe operation of work areas, tools, and equipment
  • For the grounds keeping role, perform landscaping, snow removal, and general exterior upkeep
  • Research and source cost-effective parts, supplies, and materials as directed
