About The Position

Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. Are you a community-inspired, passion-driven individual with a can-do attitude? If so, we want you on our team! Position: Maintenance Technician Location: Santa Fe Oaks I & Santa Fe Oaks II our 192-unit affordable residential community located in Gainesville, FL! We prioritize exceptional customer service and create secure, welcoming environments for our residents. What we are looking for: Minimum of 2 or more years of experience in Maintenance Operations with multi-family residential communities of over 100 units Applicant's with current EPA I & II or EPA Universal.  If you are currently not EPA certified, but possess the right skills, experience and drive, RPS may decide to sponsor your EPA (and pay the cost) within your first 75-days on the job Bilingual candidates that speak both English and Spanish preferred, but not required Here is what we offer: Competitive base-hourly pay, 40 hours per week, weekends rotation required Automatic quarterly pay increases ever quarter (following initial 90-days on the job Monthly personal cell phone allowance of $40/month, and eligible for annual discretionary bonus Day-time shifts! Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
  • Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
  • Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
  • Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
  • Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
  • Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
  • Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
  • Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
  • Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
  • Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
  • Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime
