About The Position

Motis Manufacturing Center is looking for a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for overseeing the operational functionality of all building and machine-related maintenance at both our Motis Manufacturing Center and Motis Distribution Center. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle service-related calls, manage preventative maintenance, and ensure the optimal condition of facilities and equipment. The role plays a key part in helping Motis become a world class, lean manufacturing organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years maintenance experience
  • 2 plus in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Strong electrical background
  • Experienced in metal fabrication including cutting, drilling, machining and welding
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and resolve multiple issues simultaneously
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment by demonstrating appropriate safety measures.
  • Create and maintain a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all production equipment operates at full capacity.
  • Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical repairs and maintain production equipment.
  • Maintain an inventory of necessary maintenance equipment, supplies and parts.
  • Maintain maintenance related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report-out during daily Gemba walks.
  • Fabricate fixtures, templates and tooling.
  • Coordinate moves, installs, commissioning and decommissioning of all equipment.
  • Schedule and assist required outside contractors across the two sites.
  • Participate in Lean Kaizen activities and events.
  • Operate and maintain hand and power tools and other equipment used in facility and grounds maintenance.
  • Manage all periodic and annual safety inspections for life safety systems, material handling and production equipment.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
