About The Position

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician (official title: Maintenance Assistat) to join our team at Arboretum Village, located at 8141 Farnam Drive, Omaha, NE 68114. Arboretum Village is home to 145 independent living apartment homes, offering a welcoming environment that feels like traditional apartment living.
Schedule & On-Call Details:
Regular Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (flexible start and end times)
On-Call Rotation: Approximately one week per month
On-call period runs Monday at 8:00 AM through Sunday evening
Handoff occurs Monday mornings at 8:00 AM
Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• One (1) year of facilities maintenance or related experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• Trade or Vocational Schooling is preferred
• Equivalent years of work may substitute for education requirement.
• Equivalent years of education may substitute for experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Ensures building and equipment are in working order by performing preventative maintenance and repairing damage.
• Completes work orders in a timely fashion.
• Conducts general carpenter work using common hand and power tools.
• Diagnoses mechanical problems.
• Assembles structures such as furniture or pipe systems.
• Repairs or replaces defective equipment parts.
• Cleans and lubricates equipment.
• Paints and patches walls, equipment, and structures.
• Assembles, installs, and repairs electrical wiring.
