About The Position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for inspect different equipment and perform any repairs or preventive maintenance of all Ideal Market’s stores when required . The Maintenance Technician must be highly skilled with various hand and power tools to support the achievement of the Ideal Market Business goals and objectives.

• Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, forklifts, saws, drills, and wrenches.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
• Flexibility in scheduling with the availability to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.
• Able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Position may require climbing of ladders for top-level selection

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the store facility’s equipment.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and stores facilities.
• Perform carpentry functions.
• Repair machines, equipment, or structures using tools such a s hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices.
• Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Paint or repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, or other parts of building structures.
• Estimates costs to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures.
• Conducting inspections of premises and equipment.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments .
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Maintain detailed summary sheets of tasks performed with regard to preventive maintenance, diagnoses of problems and repairs performed on equipment.
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as needed and assigned.
