German American BancorpVincennes, IN

About The Position

As our Maintenance Technician, you’ll maintain and improve branch facilities and bank vehicles. You will assist in maintaining records of repairs and maintenance done on all bank equipment, maintain storage and work areas, and check and maintain emergency response systems. Coordinating with service contractors and others in the community will be a regular part of this role. Day in the Life - Every day you respond to service requests from branch facilities through Knox, Daviess, Gibson, Martin, and Pike Counties, performing minor and major repairs, troubleshooting to determine when a repair service provider is required, and assisting in landscaping, lawn care, and keeping parking areas clean. Each month you will spend at least a half day in every branch location, performing preventative maintenance for the facility and any vehicles housed at that location. To thrive in this role you must have technical ability in making repairs and handling maintenance facilities and equipment, along with auto mechanic abilities. Proficiency in the utilization of appropriate equipment and tools is a must. Skills required include electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, flooring, locksmithing, and at times, minor construction projects. Because this role requires travel (within about an hour of the central Shelbyville location), a good driving record is required. Moving, repositioning, and transferring equipment and furniture will require an ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Every day can be different, and unexpected repairs will arise, so an ability to prioritize work assignments and flexibility in dealing with a changing work environment will help you succeed in this role. You must value relationships and be committed to providing outstanding service to all. German American Bancorp and its family of financial services companies employ talented, compassionate people throughout the organization, truly making German American special. Delivering genuine, customized, personal service with a focus on truly serving customers and communities well, our employees bring the Shield of Excellence commitment to life with each and every interaction.
