The Maintenance Technician will perform various maintenance tasks to ensure preventative/proactive maintenance and timely repair per written and verbal procedures in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor of the shift. Join our 2nd shift team! Hours are 4:30 PM to 4:00 AM, with a competitive pay range of $22.00–$40.00 per hour plus shift premiums. Starting pay is based on your performance on our skills assessment—an opportunity to demonstrate your expertise from day one!

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a maintenance technician
  • Must have hands-on experience with electrical and PLCs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and follow written/verbal directions
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC circuits and systems
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, as related to installations, basic hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of control devices, high voltage maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Panel building and machine rewiring, reading electrical schematics, and modification of electrical systems
  • Physical capability to move freely throughout the facility; walk, bend, use ladders, lift 50 pounds

  • Specialized skills or technical training may be substituted to fulfill part of this requirement at the discretion of maintenance management.

Responsibilities

  • Includes duties, such as repair and maintenance of plant facilities, machinery, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, manuals, and codes as directed by supervision and production requirements.
  • Has the ability to function as a lead person in the absence of the supervisor.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in Hydraulics, Basic Electrical, and Blueprint Reading.
  • Demonstrates 110% compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to excellence, example, and the absence of crisis through preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Must be trained in safety procedures including, lockout/tagout, confined space procedures, hazard recognition, PPE requirements and use, and any other safety requirements.
