About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping buildings and grounds clean and safe. This person is a semi-skilled employee who performs minor electrical/repairs. Office Furniture relocation Work on plumbing fresh and waste as required. Small carpentry projects. Storage rack tear down, relocation and re-assembly

Requirements

Work inside without air conditioning and outside in all weather conditions
Work in hot and cold, dusty, greasy, and noisy environments
Able to stand and walk around all day
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling and bending regularly
Must be able to lift and handle up to 50 pounds of material

Nice To Haves

Ability to be cross-trained to assist skilled Maintenance personnel

Responsibilities

Responsible for grounds duties such as removing snow and ice from sidewalks and cutting grass.
May fix leaky plumbing, maintain heating and cooling equipment, and perform light carpentry duties.
Knowledge of how to use and assist in repairing all standard air and hand tools
Knowledge of forklift (along with certification) and lawn equipment
Knowledge of drill press, chop saws & band saw maintenance
Able to use boom lifts, scissor lifts, and ladders
Able to complete minor building repairs both inside and outside
Report all safety findings according to regulations and procedures to direct supervisor
Organize work area
Communicate well with others
