About The Position

We are currently hiring an entry-level Maintenance Technician for a local machine shop in Joplin. This is a temp-to-hire position that offers great benefits once you go perm. The ideal Maintenance Technician will be mechanically inclined with some experience and have a desire to grow into a more skilled position with the company.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required (college coursework preferred)
• Mechanical knowledge (e.g., chains, gears, bearings)
• Previous experience as a maintenance tech is a plus!
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team environment and in a non-climate-controlled environment

Responsibilities

• Conducting regular inspections to prevent breakdowns and maintain operations
• Supporting startups and equipment adjustments for optimal performance
• Performing facility maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting
• Welding and fabricating equipment as needed
• Promoting and maintaining a safe work environment by following all company policies
• Adapting to additional responsibilities as assigned
