The Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the Tsongas Center and LeLacheur Park. This position is responsible for performing routine general maintenance and repairs on a variety of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, basic facility repairs, and more. The technician will also assist in coordinating larger repair projects and maintaining the overall functionality of the facilities. This is an essential role for ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for both event staff and guests. Located on the campus of UMass Lowell (UML), the Tsongas Center, is a 7,000 seat multi-purpose arena and LeLacheur Park, a 5,000 seat baseball stadium. The Tsongas Center and LeLacheur Park are two of the premier arenas in the New England region. The Tsongas Center home to UML Division I Men's Ice Hockey, Men's and Women's basketball programs, PWHL's Boston Fleet, as well as a variety of events including concerts, family shows, comedy, and other live events. The Tsongas Center serves as a public venue to the community and has been a staple of the region for the past 26 years. Additionally, this position supports the operations for LeLacheur Park, home of the UMass Lowell River Hawks baseball team and host to many area high school and local baseball games.
